Our Story

The Joseph Ambler Inn is more than just a hotel - it's a haven for those seeking tranquility, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Our rich history dates back to 1983, when owner Richard Allman's vision for a luxurious getaway location became a reality. Since then, we've grown and evolved to become a 52-room luxury hotel, renowned for its exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and unique settings for special occasions.

Our Facilities

At the Joseph Ambler Inn, we pride ourselves on our meticulously restored, historic buildings, set amidst 12 acres of beautifully maintained gardens and rolling meadows. Our facilities boast five individual buildings, each with its own unique charm and character. The Farmhouse, built in 1734, houses 9 guestrooms and features stunning country chic common areas perfect for private events. The Stone Bank Barn, constructed in 1820, boasts 13 guestrooms and serves as the home of our restaurant, JPub, and reception/banquet rooms. The Corybeck, originally a tenant farmer's cottage built in 1929, offers 5 studio guestrooms and is ideal for extended stays. The Thomas Wilson House, built in 1853, was meticulously restored and now features 10 guestrooms and a first-floor conference room. Two of our wedding lounges are also located within this building.
